Fernleigh Tunnel Series
Built in the late 1800's the Fernleigh Track was used to transport coal by train from the mines in Lake Macquarie to the Port of Newcastle, the 15klm track is now a favourite for all walks of life. A highlight of the Fernleigh track is the 181m long curved rail tunnel that marks the connecting point between the two cities. A favourite amongst photographers, this tunnel was more than just a photo shoot for me. Limited to almost no natural light the long exposure settings allowed for a more fluid interpretation of this busy walking track.
